Hi there

I'm looking for help identifying a part number off from this steering cable and hopefully I can find a replacement around. No part number on the casing anywhere. From what I understand these old quicksilver steering cables are no longer available or a replacement for that matter. The cable still moves but is getting tight now. Id rather not change out the steering wheel/helm to keep the nostalgia of the old 1966 mercruiser boat. I've measured the inner black casing and it measures just under 13ft so I believe the mercruiser part # is 11111A13 but i could be wrong. The overall length of the cable is 16ft exactly. Does anyone know what part number I have here?

Would anyone make a custom cable for replacement? Anyone have one of these laying around?

Looks like a very common and standard arrangement. Have a look at teleflex for a replacement

Ayuh,..... I believe yer gonna have to replace the helm, 'n cable as a kit,.....

The ole ride glide is an antique, no parts available,.....

You might be able to adapt yer steerin' wheel to a new helm, with some creative engineerin' though,.....

Teleflex sold off the cable division and it became SeaStar

Agree with Bondo, you will need to buy a new helm and cable as a kit

The steering wheel will most likely bolt onto a new helm

I think the steering wheel is a standard thing. I know my 1966 StarCraft with cable drum steering can accept a modern steering wheel. can even get tilt helms now
