newguy06, Yes, you need more air to make more bhp (horsepower), displacement equals air. So for MAX output stuff you want big. BTW, welcome. You may answer that you could get more air with a blower (turbo or supercharger), but you could add that to a big block too, so again you end up with the big block for the most possible horsepower.<br /><br />They used to offer a 377 bhp small block Scorpion(6.2), but my guess is that it was eating into 496 (8.1) sales so why bother?<br /><br />mkast, Since your comment was aimed at me, I'll respond. More horsepower is why you need a big block. Not to make 320 bhp . . . I have not contradicted that in any of my previous posts BTW.
