Hello,
I have a pretty major leak on my pre-alpha (MC-1) tilt ram hose. Ram works fine, but I'm concerned about this hose.
Normally I'd just replace the hose, but I can't quite figure out how the hose attaches to the ram. One of the hoses just screws in like normal, but the other one looks like it's maybe clamped in or might even be part of the ram? I'm not sure.
There's a photo attached. You can see that the hose in the foreground just screws in, and that hose is fine. The one in the background doesn't have a screw and just goes into the ram.

What is the best course of action here? Can I just replace the hose, or do I need to replace the whole ram? Can I use basically any merc ram or do I need a specific prealpha ram?

Thanks!!

Look on the inside of the ram, the line should go to the end

@alldodge you were right, no idea how I didn't notice this before. Thanks!
@jhamblett really appreciate the photo, that helped a ton.

Thanks both!

EDIT: One more question. When replacing the hose, are all alpha hoses basically the same or do I need some specific prealpha hose?

Thanks!

For yours, NO. there is a port and starboard hose used on those cylinders. look for the casting number on the rams

Now is the time to rebuild both rams/cylinders. Just me 2 cents
