Well.... both heads were cracked, the cylinder walls looked really good though so I rolled the dice and put a pair of reman heads on it. After talking with the guy at the machine shop he said these 4.3 heads crack really easy, doesn't take a lot of heat to do it. So after getting it back together and getting it running I find a leak in the hydraulics. The two hoses from the trim pump got against the exhaust and burned a hole. I replaced both hoses. Finally took her out yesterday for a run and she did pretty well. A few things I need to work on but overall I'm pleased. Oil pressure stayed around 75 lbs and water temp below 160 at 4000 rpm. No water in the oil as of yet. I ran it up the lake and back for almost 2 hours. I ran it WOT at 5000 rpm for a bit but mostly kept it around 4000. Thanks for all the advice and ideas.
