Re: mercruiser 5.0 winter drain plugs
I have a 1999 Searay Sundeck with a Mercruiser 5.0 I/O and need to know how many winter drain plugs there are. I have pulled two on the starboard side, four on the port side including the cooler and one on the front(bottom of hose elbow. Is seven plugs correct or am I missing one? Please help.

I pull the bottom of the Big hose off the circulatin' water pump too,...
It can hold nearly a quart in the circulatin' pump,...
If not for the tin backin' plate, We'd be changin' them in the spring too,...
I'm guessin' the starboard plugs were the Block drain, 'n Manifold drain,...
Portside oughta be the opposite Block drain, Manifold drain, P/S cooler, Cool fuel(if ya got it), 'n whatever the elbow drain is ya got,...
Merc has come up with a few different set ups, some work Great, others suck,...
Not sure exactly which 1 you've got, but the description matches 1 in our fleet, 'n it's 1 of the Better,...
Ya poked, 'n prodded all the holes, 'n got good flows, Right,..??
