Started engine on muffs yeserday. Engine started fine but no exhaust water ever came from around engine collar and temp gauge went close to 190 and alarm went off. Do you think the thermostat is bad? I can tell the impeller is pulling water as the amount of water escaping from aroud the muffs on the garden hose at lower unit increases a lot when engine is turned off. Bought boat new 3 years ago and have not changed impeller but have put a total of 48 hoours on engine since I bought it with 95 hours on it. Boat is a 1999 Crownline with Alpha outdrive. No overheating problems at all last Fall before I drained block and winterized.

thanks

Ayuh,... Change the Impeller,... If it had been working, there would have been exhausted water...
