Travelling a 3500 rpm, engine dies suddenly.. diesled for about 30 sec. No electrical power except to tilt, trim tabs, blower, bilge pump, horn, Back on trailer.. checked batteries, fuses, circuit breakers. Red wire to back of ignition switch breaker, no voltage also when checked with continuity tester showed short to ground.. Jumped to that terminal and all gauges activated, but would not engage starter.

Jumped to that terminal

What is that terminal?

The biggest part of folks being able to help is your ability of being able to convey what you see and are doing.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Like AD, I have little idea what yer talkin' 'bout,....

Clean the battery terminals, then the other end of those cables,....
That don't mean look at 'em, 'n wiggle the wires,...
Disconnect, 'n clean to shiny metal clean, 'n reassemble,...
While yer doin' the positive cable other end, clean the starter's terminals,....
At the starter, is there power through the little square plastic fuse mounted there,..??
If there is, check the push-button breaker on the motor,...
if it don't Snap, it's alright, test light both terminals to be sure,...
If it Snaps when pushed, it was tripped for some reason,... the reason ya gotta find,...
