Mercruiser 470 rebuild, questions, suggestions, valued input requested

Well today was a good day. Parts started filling up my door step. The manifold and elbows came in, main bearings are in, pertronix coil and electronic ignition is in, the Nautical Smart Tabs SX came in as well. Just waiting on the rod bearings and the piston rings. And of course getting the hunk of iron out of the boat.

Any suggestions for removal? Based on how it looks the manifolds "both" need to be removed first. The wiring loom is driving me nuts too so I'm going to likely rewire the whole thing so my OCD calms down.

Ayuh,.... Pull the Drive,....
Disconnect the wirin', 'n plumbin',....
Pull the manifolds,....
Pull the Head,....
Then a couple of stout guys can lift out the short block,....
It's an aluminum block,...

Goin' back in, ya need a hoist to drop in the run tested motor,...

I have not been able to get intouch with theguy that was going to rebuild my 470 does anyone know anybody here in Columbia South Carolina that can do this rebuild for me or can i change the engine out for a new 2015 engine
