harden it. the factory cam snout was not hardened

or put a speedy sleeve on it for the seal to ride on

Here us the installed Sniper. Had to go up and out 1” on sniper. 1” spacer on intake and head caused interferance with distributor. Also installed an alternator as seen in pic.

AFR = air fuel ratio. You can monitor it on the touch screen. If you go too lean, boom (like me). I believe the sniper doesn't turn on "learn" mode where it tunes itself until above 160F. I'm not familiar with your engine, but mine had a 140F thermostat, so it would never learn. I switched to a 160F thermostat, and even still, it would bounce in and out of learning if you did nothing further. Supposedly you can adjust the coolant temp enrichment (to be at 100%) and AFR offset (to be zero) by the time your desired engine operating temperature is reached to make it enter learn mode sooner if you want. According to Holley. it doesnt matter if the coolant temp is 160,170,or 180 for learn mode. There are posts online of oeople getting faulty coolant sensors. These faulty sensors read up to 20deg under actual temp.
i will post more on this when i get it running. That will be next week.If remaining assembly goes well.
