I bought a 1999 Chaparral Sunesta 232 with a known cracked 5.0, along with cracked manifolds.
I have in the plans an LS swap in the future, but that is going to take some time. In the meantime, I can pick up a free Merc 228. Aside from the obvious exhaust differences, which I can deal with, anyone have any idea if there is going to be a flywheel coupler issue that can't be overcome? I would hope the volvo bellhousing would bolt up. Is there going to be a incompatibility with the flywheel and coupler?
I know the 228 is going to be a step down from the 5.0 but its just for a few seasons until I get the LS swap ready to go. Thanks
