I am new to boating and pulled a really stupid move and forgot to put the plug in my boat before launching. Caught it before the boat sank, but the engine well filled with water and the motor quit and will not restart. Had the starter testing, works fine. What am I missing? The motor turns over but very slowly. Battery has a full charge.

Welcome aboard.

How high did the water get?

A good place to start is by looking at the Adults Only stickies - https://forums.iboats.com/forum/engi...-no-exceptions

I would pull the plugs and check spark and compression. Check the oil level and see if it has water in it.

I put my plug on my boat key ring for some reason. It couldn't be because I forgot one time.
