Mercruiser 165 cracked, looking to replace with chevy i6 250

Use Permatex Aviation Sealant #3 for the head bolts.

Run a tap through all the block's head bolt holes and wire brush the threads of the head bolts.

question, when i put the heads back on and get the rockers back on should i do a lifter compressed adjustment and then wait and do another adjustment after i get it all put back together and get oil pressure back to the lifters. sorry but it has been a long time since i have done these.
