Mercruiser 160 block for 165 rebuild?

Is the block from a 1969 160 the same as a 1979 165? The heads use a different style intake/exhaust manifold and the timing marks are on opposite sides of the block, are there other differences I should be concerned with? The 160 block has a fairly fresh set of 30 over pistons, the head has an issue with the front bolt hole on one side breaking out. The 165 is running but has repaired freeze damage, I'd like to take the 160 block and bolt the 165 head/intake and accessories.
Boat (69 Sea Ray 185) originally had the 160, 165 was transplanted before repair to block was discovered.

Thanks,

Steven

No takers on this? Surely someone has at least changed the heads over onto a 160 block to get the hardened valve seats? Any issues?

Thanks,

Steven
