Mercruiser 140 adjusted shift cables...

So, out of water, I adjusted both drive and remote shift cables...forward locks drive shaft ccw, then neutral spins freely, then into reverse until locked cw.
So meanwhile, I launch her into the drink and all I get is she will shift into reverse, but not into forward gear...(btw, both are brand new cables).

Any suggestions out there?
