Mercruiser 120 tilt problems
I have a 1974 Mercruiser 120. The hydraulic lines from the pump to the tail unit (inside the boat) had to be replaced. After I replaced them the tail unit would not operate. I then determined that the solenoid was bad. This has a single solenoid for up and down. Once that was replaced the unit will go up and down. But if you take it all the way up it will not go down unless I loosen either one of the down hydraulic lines at the tail unit. I have bled both lines but still cannot get it to go down if it is all the way in the up position. Any suggestions?
