Howdy all,, total boat noob here..
I have a MC 120 with the carter style pump. The pump was bad so I ordered a new one (Sierra brand 18-7278). The new pump has a brass barb fitting on the lower section that from searching tells me it is supposed to go the carb in case of pump failure.. well, I have nowhere on the carb to attach it like I have seen pictures of. Some show a similar brass fitting on the starboard side of the carb but I don't have one.
The old pump did not have this fitting on it (hence the fuel in the oil scenario).. How should I run a line to the carb? Can I use a "T" fitting at the inlet? or should I just pull the fitting from the pump and plug it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks
Rowe

Ayuh,.... Plumb a hose from the fitting on the fuel pump to the spark arrester, or somewhere it can drip down the throat of the carb....

Don't cap it, 'n ignore it...

Thanks Bond-o,, will do. Although I have not found a pic yet, I did read about a fitting placed into or onto the spark arrestor for it.
I'll do some shopping and see what I come up with.. def will get it hooked up.
