Anyone ever busted a delrin vs rubber? Wondering if there's any truth that the rubber will get you home, albeit slowly, while the delrin will just spin.
If you have concerns go with the Merc Flo-Torq SSR

FWIW: The Enteria prop rattled horribly when trolling.
Ended of changing out the Merc Flo-Torq II (Delrin) for a Rubex RBX hub (rubber) to eliminate the Noise

Haven't busted either personally. Over time (many years) the pressed in rubber will slip, had several of those happen over the years.

I think you are correct that the delrin will essentially act as a shear pin. You can get a spare hub sleeve for a few bucks. I keep a complete hub and thrust washer, plus spare prop on the boat. Years ago- had a thrust washer stick to the prop with grease when changing it out after getting damaged. Thrust washer fell off prop took me an hour to find it in 2 ft of water....

That's the hub I was thinking of Rubex...
