Merc Mariner year motor.

I have just purchased a nice older Merc Mariner 30 HP electric start motor off a pontoon boat that has sat for 2 years. Put a little fuel to her, hit the key and bang, up and running and peeing like a 5 year old, On the tag says 30 ELO G89 and 417503. Would like some help for what year I got so when I need parts I know the year, Any help is appreciated, regards

Good luck finding Mariner branded parts from Mercury Marine.

You may have better luck finding Yamaha parts since it was made by Yamaha for Mercury Marine.
