merc 888 tilt trim

The trim motor runs, but the outdrive doesn't move, it will free fall to down and must lift to up. Which of the 4 lines at the rams is for up/down. How to I check that the pump is actually putting out pressure...not new to boats, just new to this, and a couple other issues!!

Have you checked the oil in the pump to see if it's full?

Ayuh,... Sounds like the whole system is Dry...

May be, but if it is dry, putting some oil in it and running it might show where the oil went.
