I've got a 1988 Merc 35 hp model 1035412BD. I got it without the battery cables, but need someone to tell me where to plug the pos and neg into. I'm assuming the pos goes to the solenoid for the starter and the neg just grounds out on the motor itself, but I'm not sure.
Also - the motor has "oil injected" written on the side of it, but I don't see any reservoir for oil. I've been told it is not unusual for folks to disconnect the oil injection system and just run mixed gas - but how do i tell for sure this has been modified that way.
