Merc. 225HP EFI Loss Power
I have 96' 225HP XXL EFI Mercury OB, that losses power at times when in full throttle, the motor starts fine every time and idles fine. At times the motor will cut back in power and the temp. gauge will come on, but the motor seems to be pissing out plenty of water. Once this happens I bring the motor to neutral, turn it off, wait 10 to 15 seconds, turn it back on, the temp gauge light goes out and I can go again at full throttle, sometimes it will cut back in power again and other times it will not..I can't seem to figure it out and neither can the so called shops that keep it for months and the problem still remains....
