Merc 1985 Classic 50 lower carb leaking - bad seat?

I have a Merc 1985 Classic 50 that has been by and large a sturdy beast. Last summer I noticed fuel leaking out of the vent on the lower carb. Easy fix I thought. Took both upper and lower carbs out, both cleaned, new float and pin put back in the lower carb. Put the carbs back on thinking this would fix it and unfortunately it did not. Removed the carbs again, replaced the seat and pin with oem (used aftermarket first time) thinking this may solve the problem. Put them back on the bloack and sure enough I had the same leaking issue.
I'm at the point now that I think it is the seat that has degenerated. Unfortunately the seat in this carb is not replaceable as it is machined right into the carb. I have been scouring looking to replace the lower carb (part #1367-6517A62) and I am unable to find any out there. I'd love to get my hands on one. Failing that, does anyone know if the seat can somehow be fixed on the carb without needing to replace the entirething?
The bonus to all this is I am able to get those carbs off much quicker than the first time I took them off. They certainly were not designed with ease of access in mind.
Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.

Welcome.
Does it leak all the time or only when you pump the bulb hard?
Reason I ask is mine leaks but only when the bulb gets hard and I give it another pump.

Thanks.

All the time ... and quite a strong flow as well. Clearly the needle is not situated properly in the seat. Renders to motor inoperable. I can certainly see why it would do that if you give a primed bulb another pump. I think that is what the valve is designed for.
