Merc 165 Head Swap Help

I have two Merc 165 heads and both are cracked. One on the side of the combustion chamber and one through the valve seat. Can I put an automotive style 250 or 292 head with out the integrated manifold, or is the combustion chamber different?

250 is bolt on, cant answer for the 292

Just had these parts in hand. The marine manifold is a combined intake and exhaust manifold. All one casting. The automotive head with the integrated manifold won't accept the separate marine manifold.

I'd have to dig my book out...but I BELIEVE...the 292 is identical in all aspects, just a taller deck height.
