mer 225 efi running rough

i have a 2001 225 efi that just started running rough if i idle a lot it does not want to come out of the hole and on top end the rpms surge like it is not getting enough fuel

Ayuh,... Have you changed the Fuel Filters lately,..?? How about a Full,+ Complete Tune Up,..??

i changed the filters and spark plugs but when i idle a long way it is hard to come out of the hole

From what you describe it sounds as if its loading up due to the recirc valves stuck closed or blocked. If you rev it up several times to clear it out does it still bogg planing? It also could be a injector/s problem...

if i rev it up a couple of times it will come out of the hole better

Run some Quickleen thru it and see if it improves,if so have injectors cleaned

if i rev it up it comes out of the hole a little bit better some times it runs fine then sometimes it acts like it dont wnt to get up to full speed i will lose 2 to 3 miles per hour
