Hi, I'm having a problem with my ignition system on 35-hp mercury. I'm not getting any fire from my sparks plugs. I've ohmed out the stator, trigger, & coils. I also checked my stop switch and they all checked out fine. The only thing I haven't checked is the switchbox. My service manual does not give any guidance on checking the switchbox. I've been scanning the bulletin board for the last two hours and after reading the replies on similar situations I'm now leaning toward purchasing a switchbox. However, because of the high cost I would like to test it first. Does anyone know how to test a switchbox?

Thanks in advance for you help.

kr

You will need a "Quicksilver Ignition Analyzer C91-62563A1".
Take the stwitchbox to a good merc wrench and ask him to test it.
Before removing it tho, make a good road map so you wont have a nightamre putting it back in. And disconnect the orange wire going out of the motor and try it.
