Its a low PSI one. Like 6-7 PSI max. Like a Carter P4389.

They sell cheaper ones also. Just an example.

You do realize you need to install an oil pressure switch for the pump don't you? That switch shuts off the pump should the engine die (for whatever reason) when oil pressure drops. You don't want the fuel pump running should there be an engine fire, fuel leak, carburetor issue, etc., as the pump would fuel the fire or contribute to one in the case of the fuel/carb issues. The "R" terminal on the starter solenoid bypasses the oil pressure switch while cranking the engine.

I like the Holly Red Marine that is USCG approved. The Oil Pressure shut of switch is an excellent idea but not required. Your 5.7 may have a block off plate covering the place where a mechanical fuel pump is mounted and may have the fuel pump cam removed as well as the fuel pump rod. A lot of times, when the block of plate is installed the installer leaves every thing behind because the rod falls down and loses contact with the cam. At that point it is inactive and doesn't cause any problems. The point is that if you wanted to go mechanical that still might be an option since you are carb'd and not injected.

Yea I know about saftey switch. The block has no hole for the fuel pump rod and is not drilled and tapped to bolt the pump on the block. It came out of a 95 truck. I know I have to change the cam and put in brass freeze plugs.
