Does anyone know where trim sender is located? Do you have to remove the stern drive to replace wiring for trim limit and trim sender? Is it okay to take hydraluic lines

the trim sender is a long cyl. looking thing inside the boat..

the upper most horizontil looking item in that pic. the attachment may help too.
the trim limit switch is a nla part. do you have a spare. while i've not done it. i believe ya need to remove the gimble ring to R&R the switch. major disassembly. there is a wire around that you can do to use only one switch on the dash, or ya can just use both like trailering. just stop when your using it for trim so ya don't go to high/out...

edit. here's the link to the wire around. post #3...

Re: MC-1 trim sender

Ziggy is right on about the trim sender and trim limit switch on an old M-1. If you need to lower/raise the drive without the trim system working, just remove the aft (rear) pin that connects the trim cylinders to the drive. Quick, easy and you won't contaminate an open hydraulic system.
