Maybe I need a keeper

A few weeks ago I, was at a junk yard and saw a 1975 Starcraft 18' Holiday with an I/O 120 Mercruiser.

Well today I wandered back and looked....... the junk yard owner wants to sell it by weight....... maybe 450-500

Rough shape ...... no carb lot's of rust sut we are always seeing diamonds in the rough. Hull appeared sound, the deck was firm and wow a heavy duty roller and bunk Shorlander Shore Station single axle trailer.

I am consider this as a project but have to speak with SWMBO

Things here that are clearly worth the $500 all by themselves

- that fish finder
- that kuldged outdrive trolling motor mount
- the center cap on that steering wheel


Seriously though, it looks like a good hull and most of the pieces, interior and exterior, appear to be present. If you want to ruin your life with an I/O this seems like a fair project.

That fishfinder is a paper printing one which I doubt works ..... but there are 2 rolls of extra paper on board.

I do like that trailer with rollers and bunks.

That strap on the OD looks familiar though..I think mine has one, but not OEM.

Ayuh,... I think I've got 1 of those hidin' in a closet somewhere,... Want another 1,..??

Matter of fact,... I've parted out a couple a Holidays over the years,...
Trouble is, most of the parts are still kickin' around...

Gota 3.0l core motor, dressed for an Alpha drive, but I'll throw in All the dressin's for a Mod.1 too....

Sweet. Patent pending It looks pretty decent from a distance.

It would turn with the leg, trim up and down. Which one of you guys is going to build the production model ?

Well.... the Mrs. told me no.

It's not the time to spend the money and she is right. She recall's the last Starcraft project and does not want me to do another one.....yet
