I have a 1990 Maxum 25.5 that has been a fantastic boat other than when loaded heavy it will not stay level while on plane. It falls off one side and leans and when the trim tabs correct then it will fall off the other side and lean. Any one had this problem and have any Idea what I could do to remedy this problem? When empty it will to hold level.

Have not had that issue, but sounds like being heavy loaded, the boat is riding to high. What prop is on it?

Having a head time envisioning this happening with the tabs properly adjusted.
Fixed or adjustable tabs?
How far off the chine are the tabs? Ideally you should be 3-4" off each side.

I have a Marage 21 pitch that has been cupped. Even when I force the bow down with the trim tabs it still falls off level.

Not able to find a Maxum 25.5
If its a bow rider then to much weight in the bow.
Is the drive being trimmed out any or staying tucked in?

It is not a bow rider. Totally closed in with a galley. All the fixed weight is in the rear half of the boat. Fuel, water, sewer, engine. Could the out drives fixed position be to far forward or back creating to much bow Dow or up.
my trim tabs are 3” in from the outside of the boat.

OK its like a SCR
You say drives are in a fixed position, meaning once adjusted for speed while on plane, there fixed or they do not trim?

Assuming trimmed and then the issue starts.
The tabs should be close to the sides and yours are
If I'm load heavy on my 27PC I have to keep the drive fully tucked in or it will start to porpoise. This isn't your issue so its not making since unless the stern is coming up so high that the tabs are no longer in contact with the water

Yes it is a SCR. Sorry, It does trim up and down while planeing, but my thought was that the position of the outdrive that can be manually adjusted to allow the drive to move forward about 1" at a time or back an inch while out of the water possibly was to far forward letting the bow stay to high when operating. I keep feeling like my issue is the design of the deep v hull.

Sorry either don't understand, or have not seen an I/O that can manually be moved forward or back as a unit, only the trim IN/OUT

Can you post a pic?

Read back through your posts.
Was is meant by not staying “level” on plane?
What is your expectation?

Most hulls have a 3-4 degree running angle (nose up) while on plane
