I have a 1994 Maxum 2000sc with the 4.3lx and 4 Bbl carb. Stalls after 10-20 seconds of op. Believe I need to rebuild the weber carb. Anyone know if there is a spec manual for this unit? Thanks!

Yes, the Merc service manual for that engine also has the carb service manual. You're looking for Merc Service manual #18.

So, the service manual does not give the spec for CFM for the Weber carb. I have an opportunity to buy a remanufactured Carter 9600 Marine carb-600 CFM. I hear that Weber/Carter/Eldebrook are clones. True? Anyone know if CFM is the same for the Weber 9600?
Reason for wanting to purchase is that existing has a broken receiving thread for the arrestor bolt which makes me suspicious that other fractures may be present I'm not aware of. Or, I'll create them when I disassemble for rebuild. She is a '94 original.
