Mastercraft? where can I get help w/bogging

I cannot find anything about fixing my mastercraft in the I boats forums. I am having problems with my boat which is a 1996 mastercraft prostar 205. It has a FI 350 indmar v8 in it that runs great except when more than 2/3 trottle. It gets full power only for the first second then bogs down. Any help as to fixing the problem or where I could get help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance!

what is FI, fuel injected?<br />your description makes me want to say it's the fuel pump or there's a restriction in fuel flow. Also, if you have a carburetor not fuel injection then I would also look into the carb as a possible source of the problem.<br />what maintenance has been done on the boat since 1996? if you haven't changed the fuel filter(s) then now would be a good time. Also check fuel tank vent for any obstructions.

FI was for fuel injection. It has throttle body injection and all mantinence has been done on schedual. The engine was replaced 100 hrs. ago and I just did the fuel filter and spark plugs due to this problem with no difference in performance. As far as the vent for the tank I tried running it with the cap off of the tank with no help. The boat will pull strong for the first few seconds but then bogs down and will not go over 3000 rpm's under a load. Any suggestions.
