Ok so my buddy just bought a 1990 MasterCraft 19', I think it's a prostar or something but the seats are shot. All the seats in the boat pretty much just come right out so I was woundering if anyone knows where he might could just get some cheap replacement seats rather than having them recoverd. Also the motor box has been uncovered and left nothing but the fiber glass. Was it covered with carpet or viynel? Does anybody know what it would cost to redo all the seats and the motor box?

Thanks guys.

Re: MasterCraft Seats

Hey bhuff, welcome aboard!! I have moved this over to the Restoration section as there are a lot of guys that have done upholstery restorations here.

You can get seats here, but the fit of that rear seat in the Mastercraft is more of the custom nature. I am guessing tha the engine cover had foam and then vinyl on it, although well done with indoor/outdoor carpet would look OK too.

Where are you located, there are lot's of shops that could do that work, and if you totally remove it a small local re-upholstery shop would probably be a reasonably priced alternative to a local marine service outfit. If these use decent grade material it will be fine. I had a guy redo one of my boats years ago. He normally did vinyl restaurant booths and he did a fantastic job for me cheap.
