marinising a 2.5 td transit engine

Hi i am looking for info on marinising a 2.5 td transit engine to fit my fletcher 21ft . which motor is best and hopefully trouble free . i have a merc z leg so what type of conversion plate will i need . i have the use of a miller and lathe so tools will not be a problem . All advice will be welcome

Ayuh,... What's That,..?? never heard of a TD Transit motor,..??
i have a merc z leg

Mercruiser has Never built an outdrive called the Z drive,... Whatcha talkin' about...

Basically,... If a motor Hasn't already been used in a boat,....
It's Not really a Doable thing....
Mainly, Wet exhaust manifolds are the most serious Issue to deal with....

I am guessing overseas, so anything could be possible from Merc.

If TD is turbo diesel, then like Bondo said your two big hurdles are the physical mounting and the exhaust.
