Hey all, Really liking the site. Could use some help with a 2 stroke/2clylinder 30hp tiller. Here are the #s I have mod/serial 689 s 033647. Any information would be great. This is a new to me boat and motor. Ran awesome, then it didn't. Started right up and cruised at various speeds 18 to 24. Then it just bogged down and won't stay started. I've checked fuel lines, filter, and pump. All looked great but still changed the pump diaphragm. Also replaced plugs with new and next step up hotter. I'm assuming maybe carb because it sounds like is starving. I really could use some direction. Thanks guys

Looks like you have an 1989 short shaft model number 7030201PU. 689-022059 THRU 689-230100 (M) or you can search the model number online for other parts catalogs as well.

Sure sounds like carbs.
Be careful changing to hotter plugs. Not saying you can't go up but it's a risk I would not be taking. I would be sorting out the problem and sticking with the recommended plugs.
