mariner serial number

Hay everyone I,m new to this forum and see everyone has a lot of usefull info. I just purchased a 1986 bass tracker tx17 with a mariner 50hp which is not original engine. I am having trouble finding any info on this motor with serial number ob217318. Can someone tell me what year this engine is and the max rpm so I can determin if it is proped correctly. An info will help. Thanks everyone

My bill of sale for this boat shows a vin for the motor as 00426993. Is this a proper number and if so, for what motor, make year, model.
