@Sea Rider That's a cool trick to clean up the needle seats. Ill give that a go this weekend.

Another thing is coming back to me now, I remember when priming and cranking fuel was leaking from the throttle blade shaft...

This would be from a dirty needle seat possibly?

If the needle doesn't seal well against the lower seat will have fuel spills when the bulb is primed till firm. My carbs have been micro polished that way and can stand on my motor's primer bulb with no fuel leaks whatsoever. The good thing about micro polishing needle's seats is that will never experience any future needle stuck....

If throttle shafts are vertical you will see a bit of fuel leaking at times.-----Normal and nothing you can do about it.----They will not leak when motor is running.
