Mariner Id

Good day everyone
I picked up a StarCraft 160ss with a mariner 60. 3 cyl
I was told it is a 83 but looking it up I can’t seem to cross reference the serial. 6462920
Any help is appreciated

I checked the Iboats faq and did find a few things. I will keep researching

Won’t be far off. Those type and shape ran from about 83-87ish…over here in the uk at least. Then we’ll into the 90’s with different decals. Identical to the Mercury engine. Yours would have been one of the first models like it, I’d think. And around the time when Yamaha and Mercury made the mariners engines…depending on what size they were.
