Please can you help us, we bought a second hand Mariner 40 hp manual engine. We got it on the boat today but we cant get the engine to go down, what can be the problem please?
Look on starboard side of engine just below lower cowling should be a lever to release locking mechanism. You may have to pull engine up slightly to get the lever (tang) to release. let me know
