Confused me on the "Tower of Power" part. That's reserved for the Inline 6. Got it's nickname the old fashioned way.....it earned it.
Why do you want to run a non surface gap plug? OB engines came out originally with the gapped plugs. When Capacitor Discharge Ignitions came out with the open circuit voltage potential of 40,000 volts occuring in a few millionths of a second, the spark plug requirement changed drastically. Surface gaps became the norm. The service manual for my 90 listed a J gap alternative plug for the NGK surface gaps that were standard issue. I tried them for awhile and went back to the surface gap. Didn't buy me anything. Somebody posted on here some time ago about the reason for the SG but I don't remember who did and what they said.
On your question, I can't help you. Sorry.
