Mariner 40 HP Identification and ignition coil

I am working on an outboard for a friend, it is a Mariner 40 HP made by Yamaha. the serial # is 6E9L409188. I need to know what I am working with as he thought he could replace the spark plug wires and pulled them from the coil assembly. It appears as if this coil assembly comes with the wires intact and cannot be removed, so I would guess he needs a new coil. Anybody have an OEM part # for the ignition coil assembly, and also the year of the motor.

Your engine is a 1982 MARINER 40 EL Model number 7040522. Long shaft.
