Mariner 150 , 2006 Fuel injected.

Looking for some help please.

When running the engine I get an alarm on the Smart Craft system ''Oil Pump Fault / Low Oil Pressure.''

From the manual it says the oil pump has stopped working electronically and no oil is getting into the engine.
Has anyone else had this alarm? what can be done to sort it. I do not have a manual for this engine.

everyone I know with oil injection has had that alarm now and then. old model merc/mariners like mine just removed it and pre mix. being that your model is fuel injected might not be ideal.

but step one get the manual for that motor.

You have a DI engine Daysoff and you cannot premix it... you need to to have it read by a Merc DDT tool....

Many thanks to everyone who replied.

My mechanic has sorted the problem. It seems to be a problem with a float switch in the small oil reservoir. Dam electrics are too complicated. I always double oil, oil in the main fuel, 1 ltr to 10 gals, tank and oil in the oil reservoir. May be smoking a bit but hope it will not sieze .
