Once again I have an issue with my 135 2stroke V6 outboard. I had a mechanic replace all gaskets, and seals. They did a pressure test and did not find a leak in the lower unit. I also had the prop and prop shaft and gear case replaced. I can't figure out what is going on with this vent leak. They think it may have been residual milky white gear lube? I ran it yesterday in some rough conditions and noticed some more oil coming out of that vent. Not sure how that is possible if they went through everything. Anyone have any experience with a situation like this ? It is not worth putting anymore money into this engine I'm not sure what to do. It runs fine right now but the leak makes me nervous.

Have you removed the vent screw to see if they may have forgotten to put a new seal under the screw and if so, is it tightened?

Yes, everything seems to be there and was tight.

If the vent screw was sealing properly, New washer, etc. you would not see milky oil leaking out. something is wrong here. It could be part of an old washer stuck to the lower at the vent or drain/fill hole. Take it back to Mech and make things right.

That screw is not original and looks like a Johnrude screw,if it has a magnet on end of it the Johnrude will be to long and will bottom against driveshaft race. You will think its tight but its not.....
