I am trying to get my boat back up and running. hasn't been in the water since like 04 due to reason beyond my control. Anyhow, don't have the exact year of make right now, but it's a early 90's model on a 17 foot Progator hull.
Drug it into the carport the other day, course all batts are dead as a hammer, set a temp batt in place and to my suprise, she turned over just fine, wew!
Got new cranking batt yesterday, put on some new flushing boots, and with the help of a little starting fluid, got her fired up and running! The idle was pretty low and rough, so ran the rpms up some, and was looking over the motor for leaks etc, and noticed what I think is the fuel pump leaking from the weep hole on the left side of the motor! From what I've read, you can get a rebuild kit for it if thats right, is it a hard job? Guess I should get some ectra fuel lines as I'm sure mine are going to be hard and brittle!
Going to pull it into the driveway this weekend and take a pressure washer to it and clean it all up! Am sure I will be asking yall more questions if I run into any more problems! And any suggestions to help speed up the process would be appreciated!
