Fixing things at sea is difficult with the boat bobbing in the chop. Aside from basic tools, I would carry drain plugs, hose clamps, electricians tape, duct tape, zip ties, fuses, baling wire, electrical wire, wire nuts, flashlight. Often it is a matter of jury-rigging something rather than making a formal repair.
