needing to do a head gasket job on my 1995 454 magnum efi and would like to get it done this weekend because we are leaving for vacation the first of the week. a complete gasket set is gonna take a week to get here but I can get just the head gaskets in 24 hrs. my question is can I use automotive intake and and exhaust manifold gaskets, or are they different for marine, like the head gaskets? if I can use auto, how do I locate the right parts? look for applications that used a 454 in 1995? thanks!

Only the head gasket needs to be a marine type . . . I believe the others are automotive anyway.

I used automotive exhaust and intake gaskets on my 454.................AND, If you're closed cooled or only going to operate in fresh water, you're probably even ok using automotive head gaskets.

IMO the most critical gasket on a marine engine is the head gasket, and it is worth the extra few dollars to go OEM. For all of the others aftermarket should do the job

Ayuh,.... Fel-pro gaskets should be available, over-night at 'bout any reputable auto parts house,....

'n Fel-pro makes some of the Best gaskets,... Marine gaskets included,....

The Marine head gasket has a SSteel fire-ring,...

The marine exhaust manifold gaskets gotta be 1 piece gaskets to install 'em,....

Many times, automotive exhaust gaskets are one gasket per port, rather than one piece,....

Fel-pro or otherwise, I go for the carbon metallic exhaust gaskets, over the hard paper gaskets,....

I agree on Felpro

Summit Racing and even Napa carry Felpro

Felpro. Just avoid Mls. Unless you have a freshly decked block and heads.
