Is there a way to get to the crankshaft on a 4 cylnder mercruiser to see if it's worth repairing? No battery yet and it's been out of the water for years. I put some oil in the plugs and was told if I could turn the crank I might be able to save her.

Ayuh,... Ya can bar it over through the starter hole, on the flywheel,...
Ya might be able to tighten the belt, 'n turn it from the alternator...
Ya could butcher an ole input shaft, 'n turn it from the outdrive side...
Or,...
Ya can pull the motor, 'n mount it on a stand...(which is what I'd do)
