I wonder what the doubters will say now? Its funny how people can be quick to judge. Even if they have idea what really happen. Now there are two people dead.
Most people in this country take for granted our freedoms and no idea want goes on in the world around us.

Enjoy your freedom American, but don't live in a cocoon......

something i said in the first thread that got pulled.

stay out of mexico. don't be surprised, if you don't and get shot, hijacked, robbed, held for ransom.

pretty simple logic at work here. if you don't want your fingers burned---don't touch a hot stove plate.

as you stated---- no one seems to know what happened----
drug deal gone bad??????
the point is, that has mess down there has been in the news long before this happened. they chose to ignore this and now. well time to pay the piper.

I say I will "eat crow" and be the first person to admit I'm wrong.....Not the case yet....I may be guilty of being quick to judge too. I've also been to Mexico and many other countrys that are more dangerous and served my country in the military. My opinion is just that.

The investigator who was be-headed was working on other drug cartel cases, so that is most likely why this happened, in my belief.
I am of the opinion it's either, an insurance scam, drug deal gone bad, or a wacko wife.

this is absolutly possible ,,any of you that say it is fishy must have never been out of the country ,,,mexico is a cut throat country right now and if they are finding bodies all over the border what makes you think open water would be safe ,,of course he is dead ,,,

im not saying he isn't dead im saying that there's a lot more to the story
they could have been muling drugs and something went wrong or an insurance claim or possibly even the wife hiring them to kill her husband they did live in Mexico near the area for a while so they know their way around

What the young lady explained is completely possible, you guys really need to take the situation in Mexico seriously it is without question the biggest threat to the security of the United States, living so far away from Mexico probably gives alot of us a false sense of security but I highly advise you all to look into this situation personally and find out for yourselves, I'm sure you will be very surprised.

Wow........ I don't recall anyone (after reading all the posts) suggesting that the situation in mexico is not serious!!!:confused:

The only thing I see are people including myself questioning the integrity of the woman......... cut and dry....plain and simple......;)

I'm with the rest of you who say something just isn't right. I got that impression after watching the interview as well. She was nervous and a lot of eye twitching going on.

The other very obvious thing to me is that she just didn't tear up or show signs of mourning IMO. I know everyone is different but I listen with my eyes to what people are saying, not just my ears and body language was not what you would expect a wife to have after going through something this traumatic and losing her husband.

The wife was on Good Morning America this week, didn't watch and I don't remember what day. You might be able to watch it on the ABC News website.

It seems that no government (US or Mexico) officials are questioning her story. Supposedly there was some blood on the jet ski and some of the other evidence some were saying was missing.:confused:

Memorial Service for the 30 year old happened over the weekend. Mexican investigation suspended after the lead prosecutor was beheaded.

Re: Man Killed by Mexican Pirates on Texas Lake

I wanted to see whats been said in the new latley so I went to news.yahoo.com and did a search

Tiffany Hartley last news post was on CNN - Oct 28 04:31pm
Falcon Lake Last news post was on Immigration Portal - Oct 26 11:36am

Then I searched texas lake pirate and found this article
Memorial held for man reportedly shot at Falcon Lake
A Texas lawmaker said Sunday that the death of an American tourist reportedly shot and killed by Mexican pirates on a border lake will be remembered as he fights to secure the border.
Houston Chronicle - Nov 07 04:56pm

It does not list any names or where he was killed. Why is this being squashed?

Zapata County Sheriff said information from confidential informants who told him David's body and jet ski were destroyed and will never be found. When asked about the lab results on Tiffany's blood-stained life vest, Gonzalez replied, "It was human blood. It did belong to David Hartley."

Gonzalez also said at least four sources had confirmed Tiffany Hartley's account of what happened. Sheriff Gonzalez said this now makes four suspects in the Falcon Lake murder case.
