It is a terrible thing!!!!

They were apparently warned of the possibility and should have known where they were on the water. Now, the family has to live with the worst "I told you so" of their lives.

I agree that they never should have crossed that imaginary line into Mexico but its getting to the point where we can't even enjoy our boats without having to look over our shoulders.

Now the Mexican government is denying the entire incident.

Yeah,
I listened to her story again this morning and i still think her story sounds off.
if they sournded them and opened fire how come he only got hit once in the middle of the forehead and somehow she didnt get shot I may be more inclinded to belive her if she showed some bullet holes in the jetski at least
I argee sounds to me like she did it or they planned it for insurance.

going to mexco is like stealing cheese from a mouse trap.

if you do get it, its not going to be worth the trouble. sooner or later you'll get your finger snaped.

or in this case............shot??

Re: Man Killed by Mexican Pirates on Texas Lake

Saw her on the news the other morning and I'll admit, it sure seemed kind of strange to me also. When she first started to tell the story, she said they saw the pirates coming and took off toward the American side, but the Pirates were catching them....she looked back to see her husband was shot...THEN she says she had time to turn around, go back and take the time to try to pull her husband onto her ski....which anyone with a jet ski knows would be almost impossible, even if it had been her 250 lb husband trying to pull her 100 lb body up, instead of the other way around.....THEN decides to give up and still outruns then pirates without getting hit because "our jet skis go 70-75mph". Uh, automatic weapons fire much faster than that.

No body which should have floated due to life jacket. No Jetski. No witnesses and the lady seems creepy. He might be dead but my money is on her. He might not be dead and they want insurance money. It might be some kind of strange PR thing. She might just be a wack job.

Re: Man Killed by Mexican Pirates on Texas Lake

Did you guys notice in one of the interview she keeps saying " my boat " instead of "my jet ski" makes me wonder if there was even a jet ski to begin with?...
Also she is boasting a lot about how the border isn't safe and the need to do something to make the borders safer? according to her story she was on the Mexican side when it all happened . although I agree that the boarders need a lot of attention! I don't think this situation really fits into the safer borders issue because she knowingly crossed into the Mexican side knowing how dangerous it is that is unless better safer boarders means she can go into other countries but no one can come to ours.
Its also kinda strange that the sheriff said he has no reason whatsoever to doubt what she is saying and there is no evidence that this didn't happen(what about the evidence that it actually took place?) the unsafe border is big on his agenda I wonder if this influenced his decision to automatically believe her?

Im not saying that none of this happened i just think she is changing the story and leaving this out to cover what really went down >
I just feel bad for his family who from what i can see actually seem like they have lost a son , brother they seem a lot more genuine like they actually lost a loved one

.............are they letting her dig her hole deeper and deeper. Collect all the different versions of the story, then drag her in and ask her,,, which is the real story?

Re: Man Killed by Mexican Pirates on Texas Lake

First of all guys, hitting what you are aiming at from a stationary boat, let alone a moving boat isn't going to be all that easy. That alone could explain why she didn't get hit. Her husband likely got hit by a lucky shot. She said she tried to get her husband but couldn't. Like said earlier, hauling somone onto a jet ski is going to be real difficult, but she couldn't do it, so what is not believable about that. No body? Well the Texas authorities already said they can't search the Mexican side of the lake. No jet ski?? Maybe the pirates took it. Ya think maybe that's what they might have been after. Her jet ski was right next to the Texas Lawman in the video. So she calls a jet ski a boat, I call lots of things by names that aren't proper. Isn't a jet ski in essence a small hybrid boat?? Finally there is a witness and a documented history of violence on that lake. Nothing fishy as far as I can see.

Re: Man Killed by Mexican Pirates on Texas Lake

If you read the latest article on Cnn.com, the couple used to live on the mexican side of that lake while the husband worked for an oil company in Mexico. They just recently moved back to Colorado, where they were from. So, while living in Mexico, they never thought to visit that lake but when they move to Colorado, that's the first place they go? Also, while they are there, three men firing automatic weapons from a moving boat and he was hit once in the head? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Then, they don't rob them and let her drive away. She obviously hired these guys to kill her husband.

During the interview I couldn't help but notice her rapid eye blinking and looking off to the left in answering direct questions ask of her.......That...indicates to me a lie. I'm not judging.....but ...
