maiden voyage next weekend

I'm bloody nervous about this, I spent 6 weeks going through the boat and fixing what needed, the engine runs but I dont know what it'll do under power, but soon I'll see. I need some advice as to what I should carry on a boat. I have an assoertment of tools, testers, fuses and whatever I'll think of between now and saturday. Any suggestions?

Don't forget a life preserver, and a paddle can come in handy at times.

Paddle is huge (not necessarily a huge paddle . . .). Docklines and fenders come to mind, along with a strong rope for a tow if you need it.<br /><br />If you are specifically talking tools, a good sharp knife, wire strippers, electrical tape, and . . . I swore that the next time somebody asked about tools that I would note that my favorite tool on a boat is a little $3.99 part retriever thing. When something drops in the bilge and I can't reach it, this thing just makes me smile . . . Use it all the time.<br /><br />

I won't go out without one of those portable jump starters...that's saved me from paddling 3 or 4 times now. <br /><br />Don't forget to bring vaseline to the gas station on your way... ;)

A rosary? Do you have a friend with a boat to follow if you are concerned? You can get towed in if something goes wrong, or someone to celebrate with if it works great!!!!

I got an extra plug, an anchor, 3 bilge pumps, 500 and 2000gph backup in the engie bay, 1250 gph in the cabin just in case. (I know, only 25ft boat, overkill) with 1 starting and 2 house batteries

I've been on a couple before, diving charter and friends 30ft cruise for 20 minutes out..., it's my first trip on my first boat
