i have a 1989 lund rebel that the floor is getting soft. does anybody know if lund had foam under the floor of the rebel or just in the side boxes in the stern. i have opened them and the foam in the plugs i cut to the bottom of the foam are dry. the reason i ask is that my boat doesn't seem to plane or have the jump it used to have. i could live with the soft floor for the rest of the year but i am suspecting i may be hauling a lot of water around in the boat.

Re: lund rebel floor replacement

when is suspect water, i use a 2 inch hole saw, cut a hole in the deck. take a piece of 1 inch pvc, notch some teeth in the end, then twist it down in the foam. them push out the core. you will know immediately if it is wet. if not use some 3m 5200 to put the plug back in.
